Description of Brain

Image
The brain consists of two hemisphere with cleavage between them. The larger brain contains grey matter. It is covered with a layer of grey matter on all sides, forming nodes. Its upper part is covered with a membrane made of capillaries. Brain is the name given to this collective structure. Scientists state that a part of the brain passes through the neck and the spinal cord to the waist. It has 12 pairs of nerves radiating to all parts of the body. One part of the brain houses memory, desire, intellect and so on. If this part of the brain is damaged in any way, the ability of man to carry out mental functions will be considerably reduced. From the lower part of the brain issue 12 pairs of nerves. One of them is known as cranial nerve. Every pair in the body conveys message to sense organs. One pair conveys the sense of smell while other pairs convey the sense of sight, sense of sound, sense of taste etc. There are other nerves, which control the movement of eyeball, the movement ...

Where does thought emanate from?

Image
Brain is the seed of thought. It is the central organ which controls and commands all actions. Compare to other sense organ, it is highly powerful, complete whole and perfect. It has such tremendous power that it can hardly be described. Apparently it is still, immobile and it is the center where thoughts come to life and move outwards. The intensity of thought depends on whether our desire is weak or strong.

Power Of Thought

Image
Bear in mind thought is not a mean and small thing. It is packed with strength. In fact, no other thing is strong as thought. God, the most gracious and the most magnificent has coffered on us this precious gift, which is second to none. Because of it, man has raised himself to the supreme position among all living creatures. It has also placed on us the great duty of polishing it like a jewel and we should lead it along the road of our choice. When we find ourself up against the rock for some reason or other, we can overcome it by the use of thought. In other word we must increase the strength of our thought in order to push aside the gathering tides of misery. This exactly is the method, which we should apply to initiate self-improvement and to acquire the intimate knowledge and unlimited love of god. The nature of thought is such that the type of thought we cultivate, is generally reflected in our work. If we keep ourself ringed around by miserable thoughts we will se fear glar...

Will-Power

Image
In this world will-power is transformed into resolution. Man is determined by resolution and resolution is determined by man. IT is the will-power of the man that shapes his destiny and that also determines the outcome of the wall. We must keep up a senses of success in all our activities in this world so long as our sense of power is not transformed permanently into self-confidence. When your mind is taken over by contrary thoughts, you should wave them aside as false and unfounded. This is how you can do away with gloomy thoughts. Sit alone and bring peace to your mind and, taking refuge in the exalted and joyous state as mentioned above, repeat to yourself your conviction, "I am achievement for the sake of achievement; I shall without doubt achieve success; I am fully determined to attain the goal." Let these feelings have free play in your mind for some time. [ Earn for free ]

Far-reaching consequences of evil thought

Image
When we indulge in evil thoughts that will not only harm us but also will cast their evil influence on others and their influence can travel very far indeed. For Example: if a father gets angry at the slightest mistake of his son, the words eminating from that mood of anger will not be confined between the father and his son. Nut they will go forward in other direction. They will get mixed up with the angry thoughts of the others and adds to their intensity. Going round and round, these thought may enter a head of a person living in a far - off country who is having an argument with his wife. Acting under this redoubled burst of anger, he thrashes his wife mercilessly. Later when his anger subsides, he deplores his actions and says to himself, "Why did I beat my wife so severely for such a trivial offense? It is a small error on her part, perhaps she is bit behind time. These are minor offences and yet why did i beat her so much...

Road to Health

Image
It is the thought that makes us health or ill. The  method outlined above to get rich or to overcome poverty also applies to remain healthy or to conquer disease. This also may be vied as the way to eliminate disease because in this world almost all men suffer from disease of one kind or the other in the curse of their lives. Some of the maladies with which we are afflicted are cured with simple treatment and some of are self-limiting. We ourselves are patients and physicians because it is the wish of god to keep us healthy and happy. Our own error gives birth to disease. Our first task is therefore to correct our mistakes. If we wish to remain healthy we must think healthy. when children fall ill, their mothers can think of nothing else except the disease their children are suffering from. The fear that hunts them around a clock is the fear of their death. I have seen with my own eyes the more a mother tri...

Road to riches

Image
Opinion on this subject is divided. There are some who  point out that there is a contradiction praying for money and in stating that to be rich or poor is a matter of fate. That is why although we wish to acquire wealth we do not give much thought to the ways and means of making money. On the contrary, we are most of the time haunted by the fear of poverty. In other words, we are possessed by questions like what will happen to us if our service is terminated, if we lose our money or if we incur losses in our business ventures. Anxieties like these will make us think more about poverty, and ill-luck. As a result, the will to make money gets trodden under. The law of nature is that nobody can get rich while meditating on destitution. but the strange thing is that we sink ourselves in thoughts of poverty while we wish to earn money. For example when we see one of our neighbors incur a great monetary loss., the thought that naturally comes to our mind is wh...
