Force of thought

God has given to man a miraculous thing called thought-force. Thousands of man has performed the most difficult task with its help. Thought, if it is firm, is capable of turning man into God. but, it must be based on truth. Since thoughts are so influential and meaningful, we must do all we can to make them firm and forceful.

Thoughts arises one after another in succession. Some of them die a-boring. Only those thoughts which are firm will remain in existence until they attain success. It is quite possible that some thoughts that are firm may be unwholesome. when a man stoops to steal, his heinous action is also triggered by thought. Wrong doers and destroyers also will have firm thoughts, but such mental urges do not deserve the name of thought.

Only thoughts that are not tainted with selfishness can well be described as truthful or the best ones. In fact, only such thoughts can remain firm which carry the aura of purity, truthfulness and sincerity in word, deed and thought. Only such thoughts are given the appellation of thought n scriptures. Impulses that are influenced by the worldly desires are given the appellation of mean thoughts. In this way, only that category of thought is beneficial and worth cultivating which is pure therefore, that we should keep our mind firm and pure if we wish to have firm and pure thoughts.

Thought is not an invisible thing; it is rather a real element. When we transform our thought into action, we put some kind of energy into it. Such is power of thought that none ca withstand or oppose it. Thought is larger than all scriptures. It is the gift of God to mankind. Yet we entangle ourselves in evil thoughts and bear the yoke of dependence. We should always try to have good thoughts flourishing in our minds. If we do so, evil thoughts will be automatically elbowed out. The dominant characteristic of good thoughts is that they are indestructible.

Evil thoughts may be likened to darkness. In the presence of light, darkness flees away. perhaps you have never thought of the influence cast by your thought in your body. All along you have given free play to both your good and bad thoughts on the the stage of your mind. They enter and leave your body as they like, leaving their good or bad impression on your brain. You have never turned your slightest attention to what is going on inside you.

Now, what you should bear in mind is your thoughts will be converted into objects and your outward form will bear the closet resemblance to your thought. As a yogi has put it, what you have at top is what you have at bottom and what is inside is similar to what is outside. Your internal form is determined by your thought and your outer form also mirrors to the nature of thought. You can experience good feelings if you have good thoughts. With the help of good experience we can do away with all our weakness and stay away from and remain untouched by external harmful influences. A wound caused by thought often lies deeper than what is caused by stone hurled at you. Meanness lies in lashing at somebody with your words. Hence, when you exchange thoughts with somebody you should always provide him with thoughts that can lead to compassion health and joy because man becomes what he thinks for the time being. If you think of improving on something the idea of improvement must first come to your mind and you become inclined towards it almost instantly. This is a theme which will be taken up later at some length.

If you wish to have health, wealth and joy, you must first purify your thought. When your thought travels along the best and most appropriate channel, your light will automatically glow brighter. Much in the same way your health will improve along with your wealth and bodily strength. That will en-kindle profound bliss and eternal peace in you and yours will be successful life. Thoughts are of different kinds. We can divide them into two categories: good and evil. In the first category are faith, love, patience, joy, hope, mercy, affection, purity and courage. if we have qualities like these and if we put them to good use, we shall soon realize that they are exerting good influence on the constitution of our body in the form of strength and health. In the second category are hatred, misery, indecisiveness, impatience, anger, cruelty, pollution, cowardice ad despair. if a man is under the influence of just one or two of these evils, it will be more than sufficient to impair his physical health and to induce in him untimely senility. Each episode of anger reduces the span of life and increases the onset of disease. Similarly, sentiments like love and compassion induce longevity, keeps the body hale and hearty.
